  • Free Animal Doctor - FAD is a non-profit that offers a verified platform to crowdfund that pays the veterinarian directly

  • PetFundr - Crowdfunding site solely dedicated to animals.

  • Plumfund - Plumfund's fundraising website allows anyone to raise money online for an animal or pet in need.

  • Waggle - is a non-profit pet-dedicated crowdfunding platform devoted to raising funds for pets in medical crisis to keep companion animals and their families together.

Local Organizations

  • Actors and Others for Animals : Emergency Medical Assistance - providing financial assistance for veterinary procedures. Serving Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange or Ventura counties. Application available on their website.

  • AlignCare – a national community-funded companion health care system that helps care for pets and the well-being of the families who love them. AlignCare supports families with veterinary costs in the following Los Angeles zip codes: 90011, 90002 and 90061.

  • Amanda Foundation - Dr. Shipp's Veterinary Hospital - Vet clinic in Beverly Hills, offering free and low-cost service to the disabled, veterans, seniors, low-income patients, and other rescue groups.

  • Anicira Veterinary Center- Non-profit vet clinic in Encinatas, San Diego offering providing low-cost veterinary surgery to cats and dogs.

  • Animal Assistance League of Orange County - their pet aid assistance program provides financial donations (when available) to low-income, elderly and disabled pet owners who need help with emergency and routine veterinary care.

  • Animal Friends of the Valleys - AFV offers financial aid to senior citizens and low-income families within our jurisdiction to pay for medical procedures for their pets. Must reside in Southwest Riverside County.

  • Animal Samaritans - Offers financial assistance for the care of pets belonging to income qualifying senior pet owners who are a permanent Coachella Valley or Morongo Basin resident.

  • Assistance Dog Special Allowance (ADSA) program - provides a monthly payment of $50 to eligible persons who use a guide, signal, or service dog to help them with their disability-related needs. The allowance is to help pay the costs of food, grooming, and health care for the dog.

  • Better Together Forever – Assists with vet care for low-income, senior citizens and homeless pet owners.

  • CAMP LA - offer low-cost basic veterinary services such as vaccines, de-worming, dental cleaning and extractions, flea treatment, anal gland expression, fecal testing, eye conditions, blood test, ear mites/ infections, nail trims, skin infections/ allergies, abscesses, mass removals, and other soft tissue surgeries such as hernia repairs, bladder surgery, aural (ear) hematomas, end of life counseling and euthanasia.

  • Downtown Dog Rescue – Help provide medical care at approved partner veterinarian clinics for low-income clients and those experiencing homelessness and residing in the Downtown Los Angeles area.

  • FACE Foundation - Based in San Diego, offers grant assistance for pets in need of emergency or critical care.

  • Fix'n Fidos - They assist with smaller, unexpected vet bills. Complete the Request Help Form on their website.

  • Frosted Faces – They primarily provide veterinary care that is required to maintain and enhance the quality of life for senior animals.

  • Golden State Humane Society - They work with the American Legion to locate and provide free veterinary care to the companion animals of underserved veterans in South LA and Orange County.

  • LA Low Cost Pet Clinic - A non-profit veterinary surgical center located in North Hollywood.

  • Lange Foundation – Their Safety Net Program is intended to help owners who think they have no other recourse other than surrendering their pets to the shelter system. They provide medical care, food, supplies, training, and financial assistance for redemption fees.

  • Leave No Paws Behind Low-Cost Vet Clinic - Vet Clinic and non-profit in West Covina specializing in senior dogs.

  • Little Angels Project - Provides free and low-cost veterinary care for those in under-served communities.

  • Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control - They are able to provide vouchers to assist with vet care for L.A. County residents on a case-by-case basis. Call 562-519-0339 or email access2care@animalcare.lacounty.gov and leave a message and they will get back to you.

  • Mary S Roberts, Senior Wellness Fund - financial assistance for the care of pets belonging to income qualifying senior pet parents who are 65+ and reside in City of Riverside, Corona, Norco, Mira Loma, Moreno Valley, Jurupa Valley or Perris.

  • Mercy Crusade Vet Clinic - non-profit low-cost vet clinic in Oxnard, Ventura County.

  • Mountains’ Humane Society Pet Rescue - offer assistance to low income, veterans, disabled and seniors for spay/neuter, emergency medical and dental. We cover our mountain community only from Cedar Pines Park to Big Bear.

  • Ontario Spay and Neuter - based in Ontario in San Bernadino County, offering low cost spay/ neuter surgeries, dental surgeries, mass removals, bloodwork, vaccines, flea treatment, deworming and wellness clinics.

  • Orange County Animal Allies - financially assists low-income Orange County pet owners, such as the elderly and disabled, through their Animal Relief Fund (ARF). Their financial aid for critical care helps low income residents with the unexpected veterinary costs associated with emergency care.

  • Paws LA – veterinary assistance for low-income seniors, veterans and people living with HIV/Aids.

  • Pets of the Homeless - Vet and food assistance for people experiencing homelessness. NV based but helps clients in CA.

  • Project Street Vet - Project Street Vet offers support to the pets and their pet parents experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability.

  • The Rescue Train - Shelter Intervention Program empowers low-income, senior and homeless pet owners with options other than surrendering their pets to public shelters. They service clients in the San Fernado Valley.

  • Ruff Patches – Based in the Antelope Valley, their Rainy Day Fund is comprised of two different programs - our Pet Food Bank and our Veterinary Assistance Fund.

  • Ruff Rescue - Dedicated to helping pets and their owners with financial assistance for veterinary care.

  • Saddleback Valley Humane Society - offers financial assistance to help pets whose guardians reside in Central or South Orange County, California – generally, the 714 and 949 area codes. Requests for financial assistance should be made by calling our Helpline at 949.262.5859 or email at susansvhs@hotmail.com

  • Sam Simon Foundation – Offer FREE Surgery clinics. Form available on their website or call 888-364-7729

  • Starfleet Canine Aid Foundation - provides aid for California residents for dogs only.

  • Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund – they assist with emergency medical care for pets.

  • Voice for the Animals, Helping Friends Program - The Helping Friends program gives seniors, people with disabilities, terminal illnesses, and individuals on fixed incomes in Southern California the extra support they need to care for their animals.

  • Western University Pet Health Center - Veterinary school located in Pomona, CA offering lower cost veterinary care.

National Organizations Offering Grants

  • Banfield Foundation Hope Funds - HOPE Funds offers financial assistance for income-qualified pet owners whose pet is suffering from an immediately life-threatening condition. You do not need to be an existing Banfield Pet Hospital to apply for HOPE Funds, but treatment will need to be done at a Banfield Pet Hospital.

  • Bow Wow Buddies Foundation - Grants up to $2,500 are available. These are meant to cover necessary medical treatments for certain serious conditions and emergency services. You can apply up to 30 days after a procedure/ treatment.

  • Brown Dog Foundation - Helps people in situations where they have a sick pet that would likely respond to treatment, but whose owners do not have enough money immediately available to pay for vet services.

  • Diabetic Cats in Need - Compassionate Assistance Program provides ongoing assistance with insulin, testing supplies, and limited veterinary care to folks who qualify as low-income caregivers.

  • Dogs on Deployment - provide financial aid to military and veteran members who are facing financial difficulty regarding their pets' care. Grants can be used for emergency treatment or care, S/N, and other purposes as approved.

  • Dr. Steve Abrams Memorial Foundation - Petsavers, Inc. - Grants for sick and injured pets whom, otherwise, would not be able to be properly treated due to financial constraints. Grants must be requested by licensed Sponsoring Veterinarians on behalf of the pet parent.

  • For the Love of Alex - provides emergency funding for life-saving veterinary care of low-income families

  • Frankie's Friends Fund - provides financial assistance grants to family-owned pets in need of lifesaving or life-enhancing emergency or specialty veterinary care whose caregivers cannot afford the full cost of treatment.

  • Friends & Vets Helping Pets - Funds treatments for curable (lifesaving, not life-prolonging) diseases such as tumors, broken bones, ambulatory care, expensive medication, or post-surgical prosthetics such as a K-9 cart. They do not fund routine vet care, diagnostics like ultrasound and MRI tests or preventative measures.

  • Handicapped Pets Foundation - dedicated to the health and well-being of elderly, disabled, and injured pets. They donate new or reconditioned wheelchairs to pets-in-need.

  • Harley's Hope - Provides financial assistance for vet care. Pet must be fixed with a fair or better prognosis.

  • Help A Pet - Provides financial assistance to pet owners who are unable to afford the cost of veterinary services, medicine, or medical supplies for a sick or injured pet. To qualify, your annual income must be below $20,000 for an individual household or $40,000 for a family household (amount varies upon the number of dependents)

  • Hope Mending Hearts - The goal of the program is to help animals who need immediate veterinary care to survive. The typical grant is $100 to $200.

  • Joshua Louis Animal Cancer Foundation - Part of Frankie's Friends. Created to assist owners and families of pets who are in need of cancer treatment with a good prognosis to return to a normal quality of life.

  • Labrador Life Line - helps owners or rescuers of Labrador Retrievers who are in need of financial assistance

  • Land of PureGold Foundation - cancer treatment grants available for working dogs under 9 years of age.

  • Live Like Roo - Provides financial assistance to help cover healthcare costs related to cancer treatment in the form of grants, ranging from $500 - $1500 per qualified applicant.

  • Molly’s Hope - keep pets and their families together by providing the necessary financial assistance for emergency medical treatment in efforts to prevent financially driven euthanasia. Applications are available on their website and grants typically range between $300-$400.

  • Oscars Cause - Provides financial assistance for vet care, includes emergency situations. In an emergency clients complete the form and then call 863-325-6508 (24hr emergency hotline). Grants up to $1,000.

  • Paws 4 A Cure - Dedicated to helping families that are in need of non-routine veterinary financial assistance for their dog or cats. One-time grant up to $500.

  • Pet Assistance Inc - Provides veterinary care subsidies for urgent or life-threatening emergencies only. Pet Assistance, Inc. helps solely with independent, privately owned hospitals. We do not help with ANY "chains," franchises or corporate-owned specialty hospitals, such as Banfield, VCA, or emergency hospitals.

  • Pet Help Finder - helps locate financially friendly pet resources such as veterinary care, spay/ neuter clinics, vaccines, pet supplies and pet food assistance in your local area.

  • RedRover - Urgent Care Grants Provide financial assistance, resources, and emotional support for pet guardians struggling with economic hardship when pets are in life-threatening situations. The average grant is around $250

  • Save our Siberians - Siberspace Rescue Fund - help provide contributions to vet care for rescued Siberian Huskies.

  • STARelief - STARelief’s Home For Life grant program is designed to provide financial assistance for veterinary care and resources to pet families in need. Typically, our grants run between $100 and $500.

  • The Angel Fund Grant Program | Animal Health Foundation - Veterinary hospitals in Southern California with either a full or non-voting SCVMA member on staff are eligible.

  • The Magic Bullet Fund - Assistance is for cancer treatment including surgery or chemotherapy only.

  • The Mosby Foundation - Offers grants for the care for critically sick, injured, abused and neglected dogs.

  • The Onyx & Breezy Foundation - Offers grants to individuals and non-profit organizations for medical treatment and other purposes.

  • The Pet Fund - Helps owners of pets in the US with non-basic, non-urgent veterinary care. This means things like cancer treatment, heart disease, chronic conditions, etc. They cannot help with basic care (like spaying/neutering) or with urgent care (like broken legs, diagnostic testing).
