Pet Support

  • Angel Hanz for the Homeless - An organization whose mission is to provide assistance to people experiencing homelessness and their pets.

  • Better Together ForeverThe unsheltered people with pets program supports un‑housed/transitionally housed pet parents

  • Downtown Dog Rescue - Supplies pet food, medical vouchers and counseling for pet owners in crisis and those struggling to meet their basic needs. Also offers Legal assistance for pet-related housing issues.

  • HEART L.A. - Housing Equity & Advocacy Resource Team (HEART L.A.) is a non-profit public interest law firm that keeps people and their pets housed through technical assistance, education, and policy advocacy.

  • LA on Cloud 9 - A non-profit organization based out of South Los Angeles that provides basic necessities and resources to the homeless community and their pets.

  • Operation Blankets of Love - works directly with caseworkers on behalf of people experiencing homelessness, food banks and pet pantries, as well as six transitional shelters in the greater Los Angeles Areas to provide supplies and food for pets.

  • Pets of the Homeless - national nonprofit providing pet food and emergency veterinary care to pets that belong to people experiencing homelessness.

  • Project Street Vet - Project Street Vet offers support to the pets and their owners experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability.

  • Rescue Train - Based in the San Fernando Valley they offer a Shelter Intervention Program that empowers low-income, senior and homeless pet owners with options other than surrendering their pets to public shelters.

Human Support

  • Antelope Valley Corps - The Salvation Army helps those in need overcome poverty through shelter, meal, bill pay, and employment assistance. 

  • Grace Resource Center Based in Lancaster they empower people through Food, Clothing, Shelter, Training, Education, Spiritual Guidance. Grace gives people the skills to thrive, not just survive.

  • Homeless Health Care Los Angeles - Homeless Health Care Los Angeles (HHCLA) helps people living on the streets of Los Angeles with harm reduction, well-being, and housing. 

  • County of Los Angeles Homeless Initiative - Providing varies services Los Angeles County such as homelessness prevention, outreach in the streets (healthcare, mental healthcare and housing support), interim housing, permanent housing, affordable housing and supportive services.

  • Los Angeles Mission - Los Angeles Mission breaks the cycle of homelessness and poverty, by stabilizing people in a safe and spiritual environment, connecting them to solutions and walking with them on their journey. Los Angeles Mission is on the front lines of providing meals, hot showers, safe shelter and other life-giving support to people in need.

  • Orange County Rescue Mission - provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living communities.

  • Rescue Mission Alliance Antelope Valley - helps individuals in need in a variety of ways, including food distribution, meals, shelter and recovery programs.

  • Shelter Listings.org - Website dedicated to serving the homeless and low-income find the shelter they need. Their shelter list consists of over 4,000 listings and includes emergency shelters, homeless shelters, day shelters, transitional housing, residential drug/alcohol rehabilitation programs and permanent affordable housing.

  • The People Concern- The People Concern strives to end homelessness and domestic violence by providing care and support for those experiencing it, through housing and integrated services tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
