  • Amanda Foundation For over 30 years, Amanda has been rescuing dogs and cats from city and country shelters around Los Angeles and finding them loving homes. We are a safe haven for homeless dogs and cats where they receive the care and love they deserve as well as the medical attention so many need.

  • Animal Friends of the Valleys  - offers animals for adoptions and provides animal services to the cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Wildomar, Menifee, Murrieta, and Temecula.

  • Baby Kitten Rescue - nonprofit animal rescue based in Los Angeles. They take in and care for the most vulnerable kittens.

  • Beach City Kitties rescue kitties weekly from the streets and high kill shelters, rehabilitate and foster, then find them chill forever homes by the beach. Beach City Kitties concentrates on cat rescue efforts in Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Playa Del Rey, the South Bay and beyond.

  • Black Cat Holistic Rescue - no kill animal rescue organization that specializes in saving black cats and kittens by pulling them out of high kill shelters and off the streets of Los Angeles.

  • CAAT Friends dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens from the 6 Los Angeles County shelters, and community cats.

  • California Animal Rescue & Education Sanctuary (CARES) based in the Antelope Valley and has cats for adoption.

  • Carson Cats is a cat rescue that is dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens from the 6 Los Angeles County shelters, mainly Carson Shelter located in Gardena. They also have a Barn Cat program which places cats not suitable for traditional adoptions as indoor pets.

  • Cat Connection has a working relationship with Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital and Pet Resort. Their pets are in the window and can be seen seven days a week for viewing and adoptions.

  • Cat Paws - Providing education, support and resources to our community to help more cats live full and cherished lives. Programs include DIY Kitten Care kits and kitty therapy as well as rehoming cats in need.

  • Cats at the Studios, Inc. is a nonprofit rescue organization comprised entirely of volunteers. They are dedicated to nurturing, neutering and spaying, and finding homes for abandoned cats and kittens in Los Angeles.

  • Community Effort Animal Rescue (CEAR) - Community Effort Animal Rescue (CEAR) is a large animal rescue and sanctuary based in Littlerock in the Antelope Valley. They are a licensed facility and non- profit, home to approximately 130- 140 sanctuary and adoptable dogs, cats and horses.

  • Felines & Friends - dedicated to the continuing welfare of cats (and the occasional dog or rabbit). Felines & Friends holds weekly adoptions in Culver City.

  • Forgotten Angels Cat Rescue They prefer contact via email. Weekly adoption events at local Petsmart stores. They have a Comnunity Foster program created to help families that have found themselves unable to keep their cat due to a change in circumstances. The program has allowed existing families to act as a “foster home” for their pet until a new loving, forever home can be found.

  • Heaven On Earth Cats & kittens available to adopt or foster. Their Community Pets Program was created to serve and provide resources to the wonderful pet owners of Los Angeles. They partner with community organizations to support in-need individuals, pet owners with limited income, and people experiencing difficult pet circumstances. Their goal is to increase pet retention and help pet owners resolve their problems so they can keep their pets in their loving homes. They have a Pet Pantry with food and supplies and they offer wellness services.

  • Home to Home - is an online interactive pet placement platform that helps pet owners find new homes (permanent or temporary) for their pets. Home To Home™ believes pets that need a new home do best if they can be transitioned directly from their current home to a new, loving home and avoid the stress of a stay in an animal shelter.

  • Kitt Crusaders - non-profit animal rescue organization serving sunny Los Angeles California! We network and rescue cats and kittens from the high kill L.A. City shelters as well as the streets to save them from being killed.

  • Kitten Rescue Los Angeles They rescue, foster, care for, and adopt out cats and kittens. Their Community Foster Program gives you access to discount veterinary care, low- or no-cost medications (including vaccines), and it lets you use their wide-reaching adoption infrastructure to find homes for the cats or kittens you have.

  • Kitty Bungalow-Charm School for Wayward Cats - a community cat organization and kitten socialization facility. We focus our attention on providing services for the most vulnerable of felines. Our cats and kittens come from the mean streets of Los Angeles, whether it be directly from TNR, pulling from LA Animal Services, or working with our remarkable rescue partners.

  • Kitty of Angels - provides funds and resources for homeless cats and kittens in Los Angeles. Their primary focus is on animals at risk of being euthanized in city shelters, including underage kittens and animals with health needs.

  • Krazy For Kats - based in Woodland Hills, dedicated to helping cats and kittens living on the streets of Los Angeles and in the shelters find their fur-ever homes since 2006.

  • Lange Foundation Lange Foundation saves animals in danger of being euthanized at city and country shelters. We are devoted to finding loving, lifetime homes for every rescued pet and place a high emphasis on matching the right animal with the right family to ensure a fulfilling relationship for all involved. Appointments required. Rescues cats and dogs and has two facilities Halfway Home Kennel in West Los Angeles and St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary in Canyon Country. Meet and greets are by appointment only.

  • Long Beach Felines - is a non-profit cat rescue organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned, neglected and abused cats and kittens located in Long Beach, CA.

  • Luxe Paws - a part time, volunteer street rescue effort laser-focused on TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) spay/neuter & rescue for the youngest, most at-risk kitties in the LA neighborhoods of Los Feliz/Silver Lake/Echo Park.

  • Milo’s Sanctuary - Based in Burbank, Milo's Sanctuary & Special Needs Cat Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) founded on the belief that all cats deserve a second chance at life, especially those that have physical disabilities, are seniors, have a terminal illness, or have been abused and need someone to care for, love, and understand them.

  • Much Love No permanent facility - they do weekend mobile adoptions. Much Love Animal Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals from the streets and shelters of Los Angeles and place them in loving homes. They do not take in owner surrenders but they offer rehoming resources.

  • National Cat Protection Society - is a non-profit, no-kill 501(c)(3) animal organization with shelters dedicated to cats and kittens. Founded in 1968, our organization cares for owner-relinquished kitties until they find a forever family and in our retirement home. Located in Newport Beach, Orange County and Spring Valley, San Diego County, CA.

  • NKLA The NKLA Pet Adoption Center is now open EVERY DAY from 12PM - 4PM. NKLA [No-Kill Los Angeles] is an initiative led by Best Friends Animal Society, to turn Los Angeles into a no-kill city.

  • One Mutt at a Time - Based in Riverside, CA. We are a 501c3 organization of dedicated volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of lost, abandoned, and homeless dogs. One Mutt at a Time, we will help eradicate the needless euthanasia of shelter animals. We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs get to know what family life is like before they become yours!!! Our dogs come to you vetted, vaccines UTD, spay/neuter, microchipped and full of love.

  • Pedro Pet Pals - Hyla's Cat Lounge The Hyla’s Heart to Home Cat Lounge reimagines the shelter experience by providing a warm and friendly home-like environment where cats are free to roam about and to interact with would-be parents. All cats who visit Hyla’s Cat Lounge have been rescued and fostered by South Bay Cats, and are available for adoption (and cuddles!). Visit website for info and to make reservations.

  • Petfinder - Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes.

  • Pet Orphans of Southern California - based in Van Nuys, charitable organization dedicated to the advancement of companion animal welfare and to combating overpopulation, abandonment, and the need for euthanasia.

  • PURRfect Partners is a group of volunteers committed to finding loving forever homes for kittens and cats. Our cat adoption and cat rescue work covers the entire South Bay area, including Redondo Beach, Torrance, Gardena, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Rolling Hills, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, Gardena, and Carson, as well as other Los Angeles communities.

  • Rescue Train No facility. They save cats and dogs from Southern California city and county shelters and find them loving homes. They rescue all breeds, including senior animals and animals with treatable medical conditions. Their Shelter Intervention Program empowers low-income, senior and homeless pet owners with options other than surrendering their pets to public shelters.

  • San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates They offer adoptions. Their services and programs are only for rescue groups and fosters - not personal pets.

  • Santé D’Or Foundation - is a volunteer run animal adoption center and community focused rescue located in Los Angeles.

  • Save A Kitty is dedicated to relieving the suffering of homeless, abandoned and feral cats and kittens living on the streets of Los Angeles

  • South Bay Cats/ Pedro Pals Their purpose is rescuing and adopting friendly kittens and cats and caring and feeding of feral and/or homeless cats & kittens in the South Bay, San Pedro area of Los Angeles County. Adoptions are held on Sundays at the San Pedro Petco.

  • Stray Cat Alliance Adoption info is on their website. They also have cats at their two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge in West Los Angeles, and Cat Therapy in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or they can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have completed the application and spoken to them.

  • Stray Paws Animal Haven - Based in South El Monte. Stray Paws Animal Heaven are reducing stray animal population through TNR (trap neuter return), medical rehab, transport, relocation, networking and education. Providing resources and equipment to empower the community to safely manage, monitor and care for colonies of cats. They also have cats for adoption.

  • The Cat Cove - based in Long Beach, The Cat Cove take in and rescue cats and kittens from local animal shelters and our feral colonies. They also have TNR projects.

  • The Cat Posse - operated and driven by a group of dedicated volunteers who rescue, rehabilitate, foster and adopt out cats. They take in senior cats and cats with special needs.

  • The Cat’s Meow - all-volunteer feline rescue organization. Currently conducting rescue efforts in Los Angeles, California, the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in Texas, as well as the Hampton Roads region of Virginia

  • The Happy Kitty Rescue - nonprofit animal rescue in Los Angeles. They rescue and rehabilitate the most at-risk cats, such as neonatal, special needs, medical/trauma, and severe behavioral cases.

  • Tipped Ears - based in Compton, their purpose is to combat cat overpopulation through humane TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). They also have cats for adoption.

  • Valley Cats - based in Westlake Village, they rescue cats and kittens in need, rehabilitate them, and find them a forever home.

  • Voice for the Animals - devoted to creating respect and empathy for animals through education, rescue, legislation, and advocacy.
